"About Me"

🌷 Hi, I’m Lisa — and welcome to Dear Lisa, Dear Life!
After surviving a stroke and learning to live with diabetes, I found myself on a deeply personal journey: reclaiming my health, rediscovering my joy, and reconnecting with God. Now in my early 60s, I’m determined to make this chapter of my life the most beautiful yet.
I’ve set a goal to reach my healthiest weight by my next birthday (give or take a few weeks!), to slip into a pretty summer dress and smile proudly at my reflection — not just because of how I look, but because of how strong and radiant I feel inside.
This blog is my open letter to life itself: a place where I share my victories, struggles, tips, and soulful reflections. I’m working on my mind, body, and spirit all together — from heart health and glucose balance, to joyful movement, to finding deeper spiritual peace and self-love.
Along the way, I plan to become more socially and physically active — connecting with others, joining community activities, and possibly becoming more involved with church and local groups. I believe healing is not just a personal journey, but something we do together, side by side.
I also spend a lot of time researching and exploring natural, homemade medicinal methods — remedies and approaches that can be just as powerful and supportive as what we see in traditional "Big Pharma" medicine. I believe in the body’s ability to heal, and I love sharing practical, down-to-earth ways to support our health naturally.
My hope is that my journey can inspire you to start your own — to heal, to grow, and to find that spark of joy you may have lost along the way. Let’s hold each other’s hands and walk this path together.
I want to become the best version of myself — kind, non-judgmental, positive, and full of grace. And I want to help you do the same.
Thank you for being here. Let’s reclaim our joy, one step at a time. šŸ’›
